Learn and Play Online (learnandplayonline.com.au) offers free videos, games and worksheets for primary school children, their teachers and families. We collect as little information as we can. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Using the site without an account

You don't need an account to watch videos, play games or open worksheets, and children never need to sign in. When you visit, we record anonymous page-view counts so we know which resources are useful:

  • the page you viewed and, for a resource page, which resource;
  • the website that linked you here, if any (the site name only);
  • a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage, so we can count unique visitors.

This identifier isn't linked to your name, email or any other personal details. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Signing in for the Day Planner

The Day Planner is optional and intended for adults — teachers and parents. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We store these along with the plans you create (plan names and the resources in them) so your plans are saved across devices. We use this information only to run the planner. We don't send marketing email, and we don't sell or share it.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance. Because the site is designed for children, we ask Google to treat it as child-directed, which means ads are not personalised based on a visitor's interests or browsing history.

Embedded content

Videos play through YouTube and worksheets open through Google Drive. When you view these, YouTube and Google may collect information under their own privacy policies. Videos are embedded with related-video suggestions limited to our own channel where possible.

Children's privacy

Children can use every learning resource on the site without giving us any personal information. The sign-in for the Day Planner is meant for adults. If you believe a child has signed in and given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

  • Access or delete your data: email us from the address you signed in with and we'll send you a copy of your planner data, or delete your account and plans.
  • Sign out: use "Sign out" in the top-right corner. This removes the sign-in from your browser.
  • Anonymous counts: clear your browser's site data to reset the random identifier.
